How To: Configuring Multiple iOS Devices For iMessages & FaceTime
This is a strange issue you wouldn't ever know exists until you go from using your iPhone full time to using another iOS device such as an iPad or iPod (or even the FaceTime or iMessages apps in OS X Mountain Lion). You will notice a distinct split in your message session most of the time depending on how the other party replies back to you.
While this isn't a complete solution, it certainly helps with understanding how and why things fork this way.
Solution: have all of your iOS devices sending from your email address instead of a mix of your email and a phone number.
You can go into the settings for each of these apps and setup what to receive as, and (once you have multiple ways to receive) what to send as(known as Caller ID). If your phone is sending as your phone number and the other party replies back, there is no way your iPad can see it. The communication needs to be with your email address (most likely your apple ID, but not required). Also! make sure to setup your phone to receive at every address your other devices are configured for so that you will always get every message on your phone.
This is also very important if you have multiple email addresses that people could think to send you iMessages at. By adding them all to each iOS device, you can be sure to get all possible messages.
Song a Day: How this is going to work
With all of the great music out there, it should be easy to find at least one song a day to take the time to listen to, and appreciate. I plan to do that starting today. These songs will come from every genre of music, and be selected for reasons as simple as "like the way it sounds" and "cool lyrics". I will try to explain each choice, but some may just be a post for you to decide on. Feel free to comment your thoughts on each song. Hopefully I can find a way to link to each song...
Digging The iPad
I am late to the tablet game so to speak, but I must say I am impressed. More soon. I am currently troubleshooting a wifi issue.
AmpLive – Reckonerz (ft. Chali 2na) Lyrics
At times, I don't think you believe in me
So I came here to say I'm more than what you think of me as
Not to grieve over dissipating thievery
I'm here to change the scenery; do more than what I did in the past
Not the best-to-date, but don't underestimate
Where you stand could be your final resting place; dead in the grass
So take advantage of the days that you planned to do
The things that you wanted; if you don't then get ready to crash
Better to try and fail than to stand still
This could make a man feel useless in the eyes of a few
Never mind what the next man thinks
'Cause he just can't seem to separate what's a lie from what's true
And who you trying to please anyway
I hope it ain't the man, 'cause he just as imperfect as you
I reckon ain't nothing worse than walking this earth
without a purpose or a clue of what you put here to do
All things considered,
I'm trying to be a bigger man instead of being bitter
I'm trying to see a better plan instead of seeing glitter
I'm trying to be a better man and never be a quitter
I reckon I can
All things considered,
I'm trying to be a bigger man instead of being bitter
I'm trying to see a better plan instead of seeing glitter
I'm trying to be a better man and never be a quitter
I reckon I can
Go hard or go home is the motto
So I push full throttle making sure they never leave me behind
Pay attention to the things people follow
'Cause it seems people swallow all the gimmicks that are keeping them blind
For those that don't read, the truth is in the book
All you gotta do is look; if you seek then you find
The stronger that you mentally become, the more you benefit
That's why they want to keep you weak in the mind
Certain shit will go wrong; things happen that's all
The real trick is if you try to learn from your mistakes
The pursuit the of glitter can make your friends turn bitter
The next thing you know some of your closest fellas is snakes
I try to find my own fault first
Strictly to see if my opponent does have a relevant case
It's harder to admit when you're wrong
I reckon my whole life is as long as it takes to get it right
All things considered,
I'm trying to be a bigger man instead of being bitter
I'm trying to see a better plan instead of seeing glitter
I'm trying to be a better man and never be a quitter
I reckon I can
All things considered,
I'm trying to be a bigger man instead of being bitter
I'm trying to see a better plan instead of seeing glitter
I'm trying to be a better man and never be a quitter
I reckon I can
The one that didn’t get away
This should give you chills

Blowing Dust Off My Electronics Knowledge
It's been a while since I last biased a transistor. I was beginning to think I may never have to do it again. Fortunately for me, I have elected to take on yet another hobby rich with electrical theory: guitar amplifier design. I will start out with a clone of the LPB-1 circuit which more than anything, decreases the output impedance of the guitar itself as seen by the amplifier. This in turn pushes the cutoff frequency of the input RC filter created by the capacitive coupled input to the amplifier to a higher frequency allowing more definition of treble frequencies. After this little project, I may take a stab at building a tube amplifier and even using some of my Danish audio acoustic experience to build a speaker box. I'm sure that none of this will take any time or money!
