This Saturday I completed my first race. It was XC length (around 34.5 miles). While my time put me no where near the podium, it felt good to get that out of the way. The following day we hit up one of our favorite trails to tack on an additional 31 miles, bringing the total distance to just over 65 miles. The total vert for the weekend came in at just over 7400 ft. Not bad considering my longest ride a week before was only 12 miles.
We have been shopping for a house for going on three weeks now, which is by no means a long time. We have made three offers and not been able to go under contract with any of them so far. I thought buying a car was bad. At least when you are buying a car, you aren’t competing with someone else. Hopefully today creates a few more possibilities.
Shouldn’t be too long now…
I’ve rebooked my flights for work to be able to make the rain date for the Ridgeline Rampage. Hoping for good weather either way (more training!)
I ran across this eBook on HackerNews. It’s worth a quick read.
I will be starting this blog from scratch in an effort to combine all of my other blogs. I will start using the tags to organize and categorize the many subjects I enjoy blogging about including: beer, climbing, cycling, fishing, motorcycling, and software. Hopefully this makes it easier for me to keep things up to date and post more often.
