Blowing Dust Off My Electronics Knowledge

It's been a while since I last biased a transistor. I was beginning to think I may never have to do it again. Fortunately for me, I have elected to take on yet another hobby rich with electrical theory: guitar amplifier design. I will start out with a clone of the LPB-1 circuit which more than anything, decreases the output impedance of the guitar itself as seen by the amplifier. This in turn pushes the cutoff frequency of the input RC filter created by the capacitive coupled input to the amplifier to a higher frequency allowing more definition of treble frequencies. After this little project, I may take a stab at building a tube amplifier and even using some of my Danish audio acoustic experience to build a speaker box. I'm sure that none of this will take any time or money! :-)
